WINSOME ADELIA TSE

A visual storyteller at heart, Winsome Adelia Tse is a multi-disciplinary creative artist, illustrator, and designer working in Greater Tkaronto. They graduated Sheridan College in 2019 with an Honours in Visual & Creative Arts. Their professional work spans a variety of mediums, including traditional & digital fine art, illustration, graphic design, web design, writing, editing, communications, and digital media.

Even in her youth, Winsome was an enthusiastic learner with endless curiosity, and a voracity for fine details. She is extremely thankful to her childhood community’s support and vital role in nurturing her affinity for art and creativity, regardless of applications to studious academics, language, dramatic or visual arts.

In the pursuit of knowledge and the development of her aesthetic sensibilities, she discovered the core of her artistic calling to be: the act of sharing life, in all of its technicolour facets. Her art rejoices in the depth of human experience in vibrant colours, flowing lines, and ambitious scale.

By channeling their compassion for diverse human-centred stories, they infuse a strong devotion to authenticity, intersectionality, and the beautiful, monumental nature of the mundanity of life into their art. In their eyes, all of life carries romanticism and realism in loving balance.

Winsome specializes in drawing and painting but doesn’t limit herself to any particular subject or medium. She explores various themes that are critical to both her personal intersectional identity and her sociocultural identity. She champions human rights, advocacy and activism for an equitable society to everyone; no matter race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexuality, ability or upbringing.

They have collaborated with and been featured by Leslie Grove Gallery, The Artists’ Network, The Ekphrastic Review, Sheridan College, Acts Art Studio, Richmond Hill Public Library, Healthy Debate, JoyCanDo, and more.
